NLDA is a non-profit corporation dedicated to research, education, and advocacy for nonverbal learning disorders.

Nonverbal Learning Disorder, known as NLD, is a neurophysiological disorder originating in the right hemisphere of the brain. Reception of nonverbal or performance-based information governed by this hemisphere is impaired in varying degrees, including problems with visual-spatial, intuitive, organizational, evaluative, and holistic processing functions.

HELP SUPPORT IDEA FAIRNESS RESTORATION ACT!

Contact Congress and ask your Representative to co-sponsor the bipartisan IDEA Fairness Restoration Act.  The bill, H.R. 4188, will allow parents who prevail in IDEA due process or court cases can recover their expert witness costs. Without the legislation, many parents cannot afford expert witness fees, which can run into the thousands of dollars.
