Scientific studies have proved that fo-ti is a powerful plant. It consists of more than 100 chemical elements, it also has anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, and anti-cancer qualities. Some studies have also shown that it might be useful in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.

Fo-ti is also believed to be successful in fighting baldness, thin hair, it stimulates the hair growth and it can restore the natural color of your hair. It is available in the market as a supplement. If you take it regularly for at least three months, you should see some spectacular results.

Coloring Grey Hair with Chemical Dyes

If none of the described solutions appealed to you or you’re looking for the quickest possible way to cover your grey hair, you can color it with the use of a chemical hair dye. Remember, though, that it’s a solution for you if your hair is more than 40% grey.

You can choose an all-over color that will color your white hairs completely. Some of them are semi-permanent, which will stay on your hair for a few weeks while some of them are permanent dyes, which will last until your hair grows out.

It is not easy, however, to match the hair dye to the natural color of hair so it’s good to go to a professional hairdresser, who will do the job for you. If despite that fact, you want to dye your hair at home with ready-made dyeing kit, always choose the one that doesn’t contain ammonia as it can dry out and damage your hair.

Remember also that once you dye your hair, you will probably need to do it every time your hair grows out. Or at least you will have to color the unattractive roots.

Getting highlights is also an interesting solution to white hair. It doesn’t require coloring the whole head of hair, but just selected strands are dyed or bleached. Highlights give life to your hair, they add shine and subtle color. However, to look good you need to get it done by a professional hairdresser and the treatment might be quite expensive, but they last for longer than all-over dyes.

If you deal only with single strands of hair or you don’t feel ready for dyeing, you can go for more temporary, but still effective solutions. One of them is a mascara for your hair. You use it in the same way you use your mascara to your eyelashes so the whole process will take you a few minutes only. Just color the individual grey strands on your head. It will stay there until you wash your head.

Similarly, you can also use a root concealer, which is even more comfortable than hair mascara as you will need only a few seconds to get rid of your white strands. A root concealer usually comes in a form of aerosol and all you have to do is spray your grey roots with it. It adjusts to your natural hair color and it will stay on your head until you wash your hair.

You can also cover your grey hair with color-depositing shampoos and conditioners. They will give your white hairs a color similar to your natural shade and they should last through the next three hair washes.

As you can see there are many solutions to white hair and you don’t have to hide your head under a cap or hoody. Go for natural methods first, use temporary solutions or get your hair dyed by a professional hair stylist and enjoy beautiful, healthy hair.
