Lemon juice works great to get rid of oily hair and has been used by many for this very thing. The juice from one squeezed lemon, one cup water, and three teaspoons honey mixed together and dissolved completely should be left on oily hair for ten minutes, rinsed clean, and then shampooed. Use lemon juice three times a week for best results.
10. Baking Soda
If you’ve got oily hair, the next time you wash it, you might want to think about adding a few teaspoons of baking soda to your shampoo. Doing so is an easy way to get rid of oily hair, and when it’s done a couple of times a week, you should see great results that keep oil from returning.
You don’t even need shampoo for baking soda to work for oily hair. Just mixing a few tablespoons into some water, or adding this directly to the scalp and then rinsing thoroughly is great to get rid of excess oil and is not too damaging to the hair.
